- Attach the retaining cord to the holes on the
inner and outer magnet (p. 14).
- In order to prevent any scratches on the acrylic
panes, the felt 220.568 /220.578 should be
placed on the rough surface of the inner mag-
net (p. 16).
- Place magnetic lower section with the rough
surface on the inner side of the pane, at the top
as far as possible.
- Place magnetic upper section with the velour or
felt surface on the outside of the pane and
slowly move the two sections together.
Use of the magnetic pane cleaner
Optimum cleaning of the inside aquarium
surfaces is obtained by uniformly sliding the
external magnets in the direction shown by the
arrow. Through jerking movements the inner
magnet could be released and fall to the bottom.
Unproblematic recovery is assured by the
retaining cord and replacing once more.
Note
Before insertion of the inner magnet section
invariably check the rough surface and clean it as
and when necessary, e.g. by wiping off hard
contamination in order to prevent scratching of
the panes.
In the event of strong contamination and frequent
use the rough surface must be cleaned or
replaced as and when necessary. If the retaining
cord has become wet in the outside part, the
water in the aquarium will rise and may start to
drop as a result of the "wick effect". It is therefore
advisable to dry the cord with a cloth or to
remove the magnetic pane cleaner completely
