Make sure to carefully read the present manual before using the
device to ensure its safe operati on.
Thoroughly test the device before use aft er it has been left in
storage for a long period of ti me.
Disassembling the device is prohibited, except in authorized re-
pair centers.
The surfaces of the opti cal lenses should be clean at all
ti mes. Touching the opti cal surfaces with bare hands is not
recommended .
Sand and salt water can damage the opti cal coati ngs!
Do not point the device directly at the sun!
Image performance (quality) depends on the scenery and the
atmosphere conditi ons. The contrast of the image may vary as
a functi on of the ti me of day due to the eff ect of the sun. For
example, at sunset objects will have absorbed diff erent levels
of heat resulti ng in greater temperature diff erences and bett er
contrast.
When storing the device for a longer period of ti me, the batt eries
have to be removed and stored in polyethylene bags to prevent
contact with metal. It is recommended to recharge the batt eries
every two to three months.
