3.2.2 Heat pump manager settings

f First set parameter "SOURCE" to ETHYLENE GLY- f
COL and then set parameter "SOURCE MIN" to
2 °C on heat pump manager WPM II.
If the heat pump has an integral heat pump manager, observe
the following information.

f For a brine/water heat pump with integral heat f
pump manager, set parameter "SOURCE" to
"GWS".
3.2.3 Brine pressure switch DWS
To prevent any leaks causing damage to the heat pump, install
a brine pressure switch if not already pre-fitted to the brine/
water heat pump.
f Make the brine pressure switch electrical connections ac-
f
cording to the wiring diagram in chapter "Specification".
You can obtain a suitable brine pressure switch via your con-
tractor or from us as an accessory. For the part number, see
chapter "Accessories".
3.2.4 Fitting the push-fit connector
Push-fit connectors are fitted to the brine circuit connections
to make it easier to connect to the heat pump.
The push-fit connectors are equipped with a retainer with
stainless steel serrations and an O-ring for sealing. In addition,
they are designed with the "twist and lock" function. By sim-
ply turning the screw cap manually, the pipe is secured in the
connector, and the O-ring is pushed against the pipe to seal it.

Support sleeves are required when using plastic pipes.
Making the connection
The connector must be in its relaxed position before the pipe
is inserted. In this position, there is a small gap between the
screw cap and connector body.

f Always use a pipe cutter to trim the pipe.

f Push the deburred pipe past the O-ring into the connec-

tor as far as it will go.
f Tighten the screw cap fully to the casing. This presses the f
O-ring against the pipe and locks the connector.

Releasing the connection
f Undo the screw cap until a small gap appears. f
f Press the retainer back with your fingers and hold on to it. f
The pipe can now be pulled out again.

3.3 Installing the heat source system

Size the heat source circuit pump (well pump) for the heat
source system according to the system-specific conditions
(see chapter "Specification / Sizing table").

The groundwater temperature differential between
the heat source flow and return must be ≤ 3 K.
Note
The heat exchanger should only be operated in coun-
tercurrent (see chapter "Specification / Standard cir-
cuits").
f Install a non-return valve above the source circuit pump. f
f Fill the heat source system. Make sure there are no leaks. f
