Connection
• Switch your computer on and wait until the operating system has loaded completely (we
recommend Windows XP/Vista).
• Connect the USB plug to a free USB port of your PC (USB1.1 or USB2.0).
• Windows detects new hardware and installs the drivers (contained in Windows). Afterwards,
the remote control works like a standard joystick/gamepad.

Software installation
The CD contains a simple flight simulator with which you can perform your first flight attempts.
This flight simulator called "FMS" is freeware developed by Roman and Michael Möller. You
can download it free of charge in the Internet at http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/
index_e.html (valid at the time this manual was prepared, Internet address may have
changed).
Of course the flight simulator works with almost all programs requiring external control with a
joystick connected to the computer via USB.
Place the CD included in the delivery in the corresponding drive of your computer. Then start
the installation of the software. A new desktop icon should appear on your PC to start the
software.
Please note that the procedure for setting up the flight control may change with newer
versions of the software.
• Start the software.
• In the menu bar at "Control" select the option "Analog control".
• Click on "Joystick interface", then on "Assignment/calibration".
• Put the lever into central position; the same applies for the trim controls.
• Then click on "Calibration".
• Now move the stick slowly in a circle several times (to full deflection).
• Click on "Next".
• Center the stick and click on "Finished".
• On the left side you can now assign the channels to the rudder functions.
• Click on "OK" and in the window "Control" on "OK" again.
• In the menu point "Simulation" select "Automatic initialisation", and then click on "Initialize".
• Now the simulation should start and the aircraft can be controlled with the transmitter.
For further software settings, please observe possible additional information in the software
or on the CD.
Of course you can also use other programs because the function of the USB remote control
looks to the operating system like a common joystick or gamepad.

Maintenance and cleaning
Apart from occasionally cleaning, the product is maintenance free, never open/dismantle it.
Use a dry, soft and clean cloth for cleaning.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents as these may cause discolorations on the housing.
Dust can be very easily removed using a clean, soft, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner

Disposal
Electric and electronic products must not be disposed of in the domestic waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.

Tips and Instructions
• If the aircraft or the helicopter does not respond properly to the control, calibrate the control
in the software "FMS". Through calibration, the software detects the respective end positions
or motion ranges of the control sticks, switches and rotary buttons.
When using programs other than the program "FMS" provided on the CD, you may have to
perform the calibration directly in the Windows system control (e.g. in Windows XP select the
option "Game controller", then "Settings" and "Calibrate").
Refer to the operating instructions of the software you want to use to find out how calibration
is done.
Both in the software "FMS" as well as in the other programs you might use, you have to
assign the correct control channel to the control function so that e.g. the elevator is operated
with the correct control stick.
• As the USB flight simulator functions like a common joystick or gamepad, you can also use
it to control games. However, please note that there are no keys on the USB flight simulator.
• The switch "Mix on/off" mixes the channels 1 and 2, the switch "Gyro" and the rotary button
"Gear/Pit" is intended for controlling channels 5 and 6.
• With Windows ME, you need to install at least DirectX9.0b. You can download this at
www.microsoft.com.
• If the cable length on the USB flight simulator is not sufficient, you can use a suitable
extension cable (max. 2m), or connect the USB flight simulator to a USB hub.
