Position the chain on the penultimate
sprocket, the next to the biggest one
(Fig.3).
The maximum shifting speed can be
obtained by moving screw H (Fig.3) so
that the tips of the teeth on the upper
H
wheel are at a maximum distance
of 3 mm from the tips of the teeth
on the biggest sprocket, and so that
the minimum distance allows the
rear derailleur to be correctly moved
between the sprocket itself and the
neighbouring sprocket without any
noise from the rear derailleur.
Noise of vibrations of the rear derailleur
can be caused by the excessive
proximity of the upper wheel to the
cassette, whereas a slow shifting can
be caused by the excessive distance of
the upper wheel from the cassette (as
described above).
