The rear derailleur is the component
of the drivetrain unit of the bicycle that
allows the displacement of the chain on
sprockets to obtain different drivetrain
gears between crankset and wheel (the

parts that compose the rear derailleur
are shown in (Fig. 1).

E - cable tension adjuster
F - jockey cage lock/unlock button
Some rear derailleur adjustments are
possible that allow to obtain:
- Higher shifting precision in idler
sprockets
- Higher shifting speed
