04 Preparatory measures

04.01
The maximum installation depth of the shaft elements is
4.0 m at installation according to the installation instruc-
tions. If there are deviating installation conditions, the
REHAU Applications Engineering Department must be
consulted.
04.02
The working area next to the connecting system is to be
constructed according to the planning specifications and the
relevant rules and standards. The excavation pit must remain
water-free until the installation works have been completed.
The native soil below the RAUSIKKO C3 type X must be
sufficiently stable and must not be rain-sodden or loose. If
necessary, the ground is to be improved or re-compacted.
Stones or other soil materials with a grain diameter of more
than 16 mm are to be removed.
04.03
The bedding for the shaft element or sand trap must consist
of an approx. 10-cm-thick granular sub-base and it must be
level. Filler material made up of friable, compactible soil with
a maximum grain size of 16 mm is to be used.
