The "Setup Wizard" is described as a "method" in the device descrip-
tion. How to start this method could be read in the documentation of the
guiding system.
After all parameters have been adjusted, the mode of the transducer block shall be
set to "Auto". Then, the device is ready for operation.
Further information on the parametering of the valve interface, the adaptation of the
transferred process information to the application and the opportunities of diagnosis
of the device are given in the manual of the device.
Hardware write-protection and simulation
In the right clamp space under lid 1 there is an 8-fold switch besides the clamping
block for the communication cable, of which only the switches 1 and 2 are occupied.
The other switches 3 to 8 are without any function.
Switch 1:
Simulation On/Off
Is the simulation switched "ON", the valve position transferred from the
transducer block to the functions block can be set by the guiding system
independently of the actual valve position.
Switch 2:
Write-protection of the hardware On/Off
To parameter the device via the bus is not possible when the hardware
write-protection has been switched on. The write protection is active if
the switch is in the "ON" position.
Display of functions
By six LED displays, which are located at the front side of the valve interface, the cur-
rent states of the channels or the valve interface, respectively, are indicated. The me-
