For connecting the PFCs the so-called 2:1 procedure is applied. This provides for the
transmission of two signals via a bifilar conductor. This procedure prerequisites that
the sensors/mechanical contacts are equipped with a polarity protection diode and
that one of the two sensors/mechanical contacts is operated in a polarized way. For
the connection of sensors or mechanical contacts the possible connections are
shown in the following picture; terminals 3 and 4 are given as examples.
