Identification, device ID

device ID is structured as follows for the valve interface FD0-VC-Ex4.FF:
Manufacturer Type
502B46
The manufacturer's identification "502B46" stands for Pepperl+Fuchs GmbH, the type
"0001" characterizes the valve interface and the Part No. is the ordering number of
the valve interface at Pepperl+Fuchs. These three fields are the same for all valve in-
terfaces FD0-VC-Ex4.FF.
By means of the serial number a differentiation is possible, if several valve interfaces
are connected with one FF-H1 segment. The serial number is sticked as a label at the
right side of each device.
Commissioning in the configuration tool
It is the precondition for a proper communication with a FF-H1 field device that the
device is known to the configuration tool by means of the respective device descrip-
tion. If the device description is not contained in the configuration tool it can be in-
stalled from the data carrier which is attached to the instruction manual. It is also
available via the homepage of Pepperl+Fuchs www.pepperl-fuchs.com. How to install
the device description is explained in the instruction manual of the configuration tool.
In the following part we assume that the device description is existing in
the configuration tool and that the device is connected to the bus.
Configuration and interaction of the blocks
The valve interface FD0-VC-Ex4.FF contains a resource block, four DO function
blocks and four transducer blocks. Each of the four channels of the valve interface,
which each consist of an output to drive an auxiliary valve and of two inputs for PFCs,
is connected with exactly one transducer block. The allocation is as follows:
• Channel 1 - transducer block with OD index 400
• Channel 2 - transducer block with OD index 500
