Message Meaning
HDD NOT • The hard disk of the player is not
INITIALIZED
correctly initialized.
CORRECTLY
• The hard disk of the player was
initialized on the computer.
• The hard disk of the player has
not been initialized because it was
changed.
HOLD The HOLD switch is set to ON.
LINE OUT NO When "Audio Out" is set to "Line
OPERATION
Out," you are trying to change the
volume or the setting of "Sound."
LOW BATTERY There is no remaining battery power.
MAX NO OF
The number of groups (albums, artists,
GROUPS etc.) exceeds the limit (8,192).
EXCEEDED
MISMATCH IN There is mismatch in the system files.
SYSTEM FILES
NO DATABASE When disconnecting from the
FOUND
computer, there are no tracks
transferred to the player, or there is
lack of MODE information.
NO TRACK
There are no tracks in the track list.

Corrective action
 Initialize the hard disk of the player
again (  page 34).
 Unlock the controls by sliding the
