Maintenance and cleaning

Possible death or severe injury from hazardous electrical voltage!
 Prior to reaching into the water, isolate (switch off and disconnect) all units/devices used in the water.
 Isolate the device (disconnect from the power supply) before carrying out any work on it.
Cleaning the device
Recommendation regarding cleaning:
 When cleaning the pump, pay particular attention to the cleaning of the impeller unit and pump housing.
 Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as they could attack the housing or impair the function
of the unit.
 Recommended cleaning agent for removing stubborn limescale deposits:
– Pump cleaning agent PumpClean from OASE.
– Vinegar- and chlorine-free household cleaning agent.
 Clean the outside of the pump.
– Use a soft brush as an aid.
– The formation of a thin layer of rust is normal and does not negatively affect the function.
 After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water.
Replacing the impeller unit
N O T E
The impeller unit contains strong magnets that attract magnetic particles (e.g. iron filings).
 All particles must be removed from the impeller unit before reassembly. Any remaining particles can cause
irreparable damage to the impeller unit and motor block.
The impeller unit is guided in the motor block by a bearing. This bearing is a wear part and should be changed
at the same time as the impeller unit.
Prerequisite:
 The pipes at the inlet and outlet are removed.
 Protection against injury: The protection caps are fitted to the inlet and outlet.

How to proceed:
 N
1. Remove both screws from the EGC box on the pump base in order to hinge the box to the side.
2. Undo the screw at the base of the pump but do not unscrew it completely, then pull off the pump.
3. Remove the four screws and take off the pump casing.
4. Pull out the impeller unit and replace if necessary.
– Use a wide-blade screwdriver to carefully lever out the impeller unit if necessary.
5. Place the pump casing onto the motor and fasten with the four screws.
6. Push the pump onto the pump base and tighten the screw.
7. Hinge the EGC box underneath the pump base and fasten with both screws.

How to proceed:

1. Remove the screws and remove the pump from the stand.
2. Remove the four screws and take off the pump casing.
3. Pull out the impeller unit and replace if necessary.
– Use a wide-blade screwdriver to carefully lever out the impeller unit if necessary.
4. Reassemble the unit in the reverse order.
