Initial checks
Check the system sign (still present, legible)
Check the age based on the installation date
Check the system number
Check that all completed data match the acceptance protocol
Check if the product is complete
Check that the product is free from excessive dirt
Inspection of the TEUFELBERGER SKC EVO Line wire rope system
Inspect the live rope end crimping for cuts, cracks, abrasions, corrosion, thermal and
chemical effects
Check the upper carabiner for deformation, scratches, grooves, cuts, cracks, abrasions
(no deeper than 1 mm!), corrosion, thermal and chemical influences
Check the wire rope over the complete length (also at the end connections) for broken
wires, cuts, cracks, abrasions, tangles, corrosion, thermal and chemical influences
Check the intermediate rope brackets for deformation, cuts, cracks, abrasion, corrosion,
thermal and chemical influences
Check the dead rope end connection for cuts, cracks, abrasions, corrosion, thermal and
chemical influences
Check the lower tensioning for deformation, cuts, cracks, abrasion, corrosion, thermal
and chemical effects
Check the lower spring preload (target 100 kg). See display
Inspection of the ladder fastening (if available)
Check the upper ladder fastening for deformation, cuts, cracks, abrasions, corrosion,
thermal and chemical effects
Check the screw connections of the upper ladder fastening for tight fit
Check the screw connections of the intermediate rope brackets for tight fit
Check the lower ladder fastening for deformation, cuts, cracks, abrasions, corrosion,
thermal and chemical effects
Check the screw connections of the lower ladder fastening for tight fit
Test result
The wire rope system and its components are in proper condition, comply with the manufacturer's specifications according to the user
instructions and meet the safety requirements.
The wire rope system has defects and must not be used!
The inspection of the substructure and the ladder itself is not part of this inspection!
