Figure 2 shows the individual parts of the TEUFELBERGER SKC EVO
fall arrester. The letters mean the following:
A) Body
B) Safety lock
C) Locking cam
D) Reet
E) Locking mechanism to protect against incorrect attachment –
"OneWay"
F) Bracket with pin for attaching the shock-absorbing lanyard
G) Shock-absorbing lanyard
H) Carabiner
Figure 3 describes the correct positioning of the fall arrester on the
wire rope:

function check by
grasping the fall
arrester by the car-
abiner and pulling it
upwards. The device
must slide upwards
freely.

down quickly on the
carabiner. The device
must immediately lock
on the rope.

arrester is equipped
with the "OneWay" safety system. This prevents incorrect placement of the fall arrester. If the device
is nevertheless set up incorrectly, it may not function correctly. There is an acute DANGER TO LIFE!

the safety lock.
Fig. 3.3) Use your thumb to push the
locking cam upwards. Now the locking
cam retracts completely into the de-
vice and the sliding slot is free.
Fig. 3.3) Check that you have it set
up for the correct direction (arrow
pointing upwards) and place the fall
arrester on the wire rope.
