8.5 Mounting on an on-site substructure:

The wire rope is fastened with the compressed side on top of the load-bearing structure with a fastening accord-
ing to EN 362 (breaking load longitudinal min. 24 kN).
The intermediate rope bracket can be fastened to the load-bearing substrate with the middle hole
Ø 13 mm or the two outer holes Ø 9 mm (e.g. M12 impact anchor on concrete, M12 hexagon screw
on steel construction, Ø 8 mm wood construction screws on wood construction, etc.) - The max.
distance between the different brackets must not exceed 10 m!
The assembly of the spring tensioning device and the tensioning of the wire rope is carried out as in
point. 9.4, but the M12 threaded rod of the spring tensioning device must be mounted on a load-bear-
ing substrate (e.g.: steel construction, etc.).

5. APPLICATION NOTES

Figure 9 describes warnings and risks in use:
9.1 Correct use: The device allows safe ascent and descent on a fixed or flexible anchor line and without manual
operation by the user. In the event of a fall, the system locks instantly.
Warnings!
9.2 During the ascent, make sure that the rope is not loaded back to horizontally. This could delay the cam's lock-
ing mechanism and thus increase the fall arrest distance!
9.3 Attention! Only test the brake mechanism or the locking function at a safe location! Attention! Do not use the
device for positioning purposes at the workplace!
9.4 Always use a separate system according to EN 358 for work positioning!
