Electromagnetic immunity (EMI)
a. The field strength of stationary transmitters such
as base stations for radio telephones (mobile/
cordless phones) and land mobile radio services,
amateur stations, AM and FM radio and television
stations cannot be precisely predetermined in a
theoretical respect. An electromagnetic survey of
the site should be considered to evaluate the elec-
tromagnetic environment based on RF transmit-
ters. If the field strength measured at the location
where the device is used exceeds the aforemen-
tioned valid RF compliance level, the device should
be monitored to ensure proper operation. If you
observe unusual operations, additional measures
may be necessary, for example, readjusting or
moving the device.
b. Over the frequency range of 0.15 KHz to 80 MHz,
the field strengths should amount to less than 3
V/m.
Recommended separation distances between
portable and mobile RF communications equip-
ment and the device
The device model is intended for use in an elec-
tromagnetic environment in which RF distur-
bances are controlled. The customer or the user
of the device can help prevent electromagnetic
interference by maintaining a minimum distance
between portable and mobile RF communications
equipment (transmitters) and the device model as
recommended below, according to the maximum
output power of the communications equipment.
