The indicator will then switch to standby
mode and display the basic values of time,
month and day of the week as well as
current room temperature in alternation.
The backlight of the LCD display and the
buttons ( ) for ear measurement as well
as ( ) for forehead measurement will also
appear for a few seconds.
• If the thermometer is switched off,
you can switch it on by pressing
any button. The thermometer will
then switch to standby mode. In this
mode, the time, date and room tem-
perature will continually alternate
on the LCD display.
• To correctly position the LCD display
in standby mode and configuration
mode, make sure that the front side
with the buttons is pointing towards
the user. In temperature measur-
ing mode and in memory mode, it
should be positioned the other way
around: In this case, the display is
correctly positioned by holding the
thermometer so that the back side is
pointing towards the user.
