Monthly Cleaning of the Coff ee Bean Hopper
Clean the coff ee bean hopper once a month when it is empty with a damp
cloth to remove coff ee oil. Thereafter refi ll it with coff ee beans.
DESCALING
The descaling process takes approx. 35 minutes.
Lime scale builds up inside the machine during use. It needs to be remo-
ved regularly as it may clog the water and coff ee circuit of your machine.
The machine indicates when descaling is needed.
Caution:
Not doing this will ultimately make your machine stop working pro-
perly, and in this case repair is NOT covered by your warranty.
Use the Saeco decalcifi er only. Its formula has been designed to ensure
better machine performance.
You can purchase separately the Saeco decalcifi er. Please refer to chapter
"Ordering Maintenance Products" for further information.
Warning:
Never drink the decalcifi er or any products dispensed until the cycle
has been carried out to the end. Never use vinegar as a decalcifi er.
Note:
During the descaling cycle do not switch off the machine. If this has happe-
ned, you need to restart the descaling cycle from the very beginning.
