CUSTOMISING YOUR SYSTEM

This chapter covers settings you can make
that are relevant to the TV system inside your
home and to the preferences of the people
who watch your TV.
You made several of these settings at the time
you first installed your set-top box (see
page 9), but you may wish to alter these if you
get a new TV or sound system to attach, or if a
viewer has special needs (e.g. menu
language). You must also use the Customise
screen to adjust the local time twice a year to
take account of winter- or summer-time.
DISPLAYING THE SCREENS
You use the menu system to reach the five
screens where you can change these settings.
The route to display each screen is as follows:
Language screen
Press Menü, highlight Language and then
press OK.
TV Settings screen
Press Menü, highlight Premiere menu and
press OK, then highlight TV Settings and
press OK.
Dolby Digital screen
Press Menü, highlight Premiere menu and
press OK, then highlight Dolby Digital and
press OK.
Pre-programmed channel list screen
Press Menü, highlight Premiere menu and
press OK, then highlight Pre-programmed
channel list and press OK.
Customise screen
Press Menü, highlight Configuration and
press OK, then highlight Customise and press
OK.

CHANGING THE MENU LANGUAGE

Display the Language screen.
Use the
buttons to highlight the language
you want: German (Deutsch), French
(Français) or English. (The "factory" setting is
German.)
Press OK to save your setting.
All the menus, screens and on-screen
messages will then appear in your chosen
language.
Note: It may be possible to choose different
language soundtracks for a programme. You
use the Audio option to do this (see page 18).
CHANGING THE OTHER SETTINGS
On a screen where you can change the setting
for an item, use the
the setting, then use the
change the setting until the one you want is
displayed.
Screens have information at the bottom of
them showing you which remote-control
buttons you can use to carry out particular
actions.
You use the OK button to save any changes
you have made to the settings.
You use the Exit button to return to the
previous menu/screen without saving any
changes you may have made.
The table on page 25 explains the settings.
The factory settings (when your set-top box is
new or if you reset your set-top box as
described on page 41), are shown with a star *
against them.
