manufacturing) oral appliance. This document provides qualified dental professionals with instructions
for the Narval CC
appliance. Please read the entire instructions for use before using the device

Mechanism of action
The Narval CC appliance maintains the lower jaw (mandible) in a forward position, which in turn draws
the base of the tongue forward and widens the airways in the pharyngeal area behind the tongue.
It is designed to help open up the space behind the tongue and increase the tension of relaxed soft
tissues to help reduce snoring and decrease the number of apnoeas and hypopnoeas that may disturb
the physiological sleep cycle.

Indications
The Narval CC appliance is a custom-made
mandibular advancement device (MAD),
available under medical prescription and
intended to treat adults with:
• Mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnoea
(OSA)
• Severe obstructive sleep apnoea in the case
of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP)
failure, non-compliance or refusal (second-line
treatment)
• Snoring

Contraindications
The Narval CC appliance is contraindicated for
