Manually setting the second hand of the chronograph to zero
If the second hand of the chronograph (2) does not return to the 12 o'clock position after it has been reset, it
must be set manually. This may happen e.g. after a blow or replacing the batteries.
• Pull the crown into position 2 (6).
• Set the second hand of the chronograph (2) to the zero position (12 o'clock), by pressing button A (3).
• If you keep button A (3) pressed, the second hand runs in fast mode.
°
• Press the crown back into the normal position (7).
Never press the crown back to its normal position while the second hand of the chronograph (2)
is still returning to the zero position.
The second hand will stops in the position it has when you press the crown back into normal posi-
tion, and the position of the second hand is then identified as the zero position.
Shortening the strap
• For minor adjustments, move the spring peg on the strap catch into another hole.
• If larger adjustments are necessary, one or more links can be removed from the strap. To do this, unscrew
the link spindles for the links in question (an arrow on the inside of the strap points to the screw head) and
remove the redundant links.
• If you do not possess suitable tools for these adjustments, please contact a watchmaker.
Replacing the Battery
Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery.
Remove the battery, if you are not going to use the watch for a while, to prevent damage
from leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause acid burns
upon contact with the skin. Thus, you should wear protective gloves when handling dam-
aged batteries.
Keep them out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around. There is the
risk that the batteries may be swallowed by children or pets.
Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. Do not recharge
batteries. There is danger of explosion.
• If the watch stops, the battery needs to be replaced.
• Replacing the battery should be done by a specialist, using special watchmaker'stools and professional
knowledge.
• To replace the battery, the back of the casing is removed.
• The battery can then be removed from its holder and be replaced.
Water and Shock Resistance
In normal use, the wristwatch is protected against shocks. Nevertheless, do not expose the device to extreme
shocks such as might occur if the device falls on to a hard surface. This may damage the clockwork or change
the zero position for the chronograph's second hand (2) (for manual setting, see above in these instructions).
The indication 2 ATM indicates that the watch is suitably protected against hand washing, washing the car as
well as splashes and sweat.
It is not a diver's watch.
Maintenance and Cleaning
To clean the watch, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. For heavier soiling of the exterior, you can mois-
ten the cloth slightly with lukewarm water.
Clean the watch very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it.
Do not press too strongly on the glass cover as this may cause scratch marks.
Disposal
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
Disposal of flat batteries/rechargeable batteries
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
