3 Operation

3.2 Operation
Observe the safety instructions in Chapter 2!
High-voltage electrical current can be fatal! Do
not run over, crush, or pull on the power line!
Risk of damage due to tensile strain exerted by
the power line!
Operation was properly prepared (! Chapter
n
3.1, page 17).
1.
For working with dust extraction:
Switch on the vacuum [18].
2.
Swivel and lock the guide bar [13] into work
position
(! Chapter 3.1, from no. 5., page 17).
Risk of injury from inadvertent starting of the
machine!
Before plugging in the power plug, make sure
the machine is switched off.
3.
Plug the power plug [12] into a proper power
socket.
4.
Hold the machine by the handle [3].
5.
Press and hold [4] both safety switches [Fig. B,
upper figure].
The safety switches must not be prevented from
functioning! They should switch the machine off
when released!
6.
The drive is switched on.
7.
For wet cleaning or wet grinding, press the
watering lever [6, Fig. B] according to the
required water quantity (based on experience).

3.3 Ending the operation

Risk of injury from tool still rotating after the
machine is switched off!
Only switch off the machine with the tool resting
on the floor! Let go of the handle only when the
tool has come to a standstill.
The tool can otherwise still rotate idly (run-on)
for several seconds after being switched off or
the safety switch is released.
Danger of injury from hot grinding wheels and
bearings!
18
Allow all parts to cool down before touching
them.
1.
Release both safety switches [4].
The safety switches jump back into initial
n
position. The drive is switched off
2.
Place the guide bar [13] in an upright position
(! Chapter 3.1, as of pos. 5., page 17).
Risk of injury from high voltage!
There is still residual voltage even after the
machine has been switched off!
The power supply has to be disconnected to
remove all voltage from the machine.
3.
Pull the power plug [12] from the socket.
The power line can be coiled between the
handle [3] and the bracket [10] [Fig. G].
