Inserting/replacing the batteries
Keep the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around. Children or

Always change all of the batteries at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries may lead to
leaking of the batteries and therefore to damage to the device.
Ensure that batteries are not taken apart, short-circuited or thrown into a fire. Never recharge
conventional, non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
To prevent damage to the device from leaking batteries, remove the batteries if you are not
going to use the device for a prolonged period. Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns
if they come into contact with the skin. You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
Always replace the complete set of batteries, do not mix batteries with different states (e.g.
charged and half charged batteries).
• To insert or replace the batteries, pull out the battery insert (9) and insert three new batteries of type
LR44/AG13, pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-). On the side of the battery insert, there
is a corresponding diagram.
• Re-insert the battery insert (9) into the battery compartment (8).
• The batteries have to be replaced when the display contrast fades or when the device no longer
