8. How to Solve Errors

the error has been corrected. Only a slight
emergence of steam from pressure regulator 8 is
normal.
Cause
Appliance not closed correctly
Sealing ring is dirty
Sealing ring is broken/worn away Replace the sealing ring (1 x year)
Steam is escaping from between
the lid and the base
Pressure regulator is dirty
Not enough liquid in the
appliance
Heat supply too low
Heat supply too high
Pressure regulator is dirty
The pressure regulator is not
correctly fitted
The protective caps in the pressure
regulator are defective or not
properly fitted
The pressure regulator is soiled
The pressure regulator is defective Exchange the pressure regulator
There is too much pressure in the
appliance
Solution
Close the appliance again
correctly
Clean the sealing ring
See previous error
Clean the pressure regulator (see
"7.2 Cleaning the pressure cooker"
on page 24)
Slowly cool down the appliance
and fill with at least 0.25 l liquid
Increase the heat supply (turn the
hob to a higher setting)
Decrease the heat supply (turn the
hob to a lower setting)
Clean the pressure regulator (see
"7.2 Cleaning the pressure cooker"
on page 24)
Fit the pressure regulator correctly
and tighten the union nut on the
inside of the lid using the key 12.
Check the safety caps (see
"Pressure regulator (8)" on
page 24)
Clean the pressure regulator (see
"Pressure regulator (8)" on
page 24)
for a new one
Follow the instructions in
"6.4 Opening the pressure cooker"
on page 22
