16.2.2 Setting the glue temperature

The gluing function must not be activated until the target temperature of the adhe-
sive has been reached, thus preventing damage to the motors of the gluing unit.

The glue temperature can be set on the touch display
(2) and the current glue temperature (2) can be read
on the display.
To do this, select menu item (1) "Temperature set-
ting" and change the temperature by selecting the
setpoint temperature in the input mask (5)..
Note: If the limit temperature has not yet been
reached, an alarm ("low temperature") appears on
the display.
The set target temperature should be set correctly
according to the glue granulate.
Temperature control is active until the machine is
switched off

By selecting the menu Control (1) the
command window can be reached where the
respective units can be activated or deac-
tivated by touching the display. The status
is indicated by the fields below the units.
Green background Status A = started
Red background State B = stopped
The following units are activated or deac-
tivated at the attached positions.
Pos 1: Conveyor chain (Feeding)
Pos 2: Gluing unit
Pos 3: Pre-milling unit
Pos 4: Edge band saw and double trimming
unit (together)
Pos 5: Polishing unit
Pos 6: Light
After the above steps have been carried
out, only the workpiece (3) must be placed
against the guide rail (1) and pushed in the
direction of the conveyor chain (2) with the
edge to be glued facing the machine until it
is automatically transported further by the
conveyor chain (2).
