It absolutely should not be discarded into the environment.

PORTS AND CONNECTIONS

The KFG and WK series pumps (see Fig. 4) are equipped with:
 2 "IN" inlet ports 1" 1/2 Gas.
Line connection to any of the two ports is indifferent for
proper pump functioning. The unused ports must be
hermetically closed.
 2 "OUT" outlet ports 1" Gas.
 3 service ports 1/2" Gas; usually used for the pressure
gauge.
