Installation
Installation position as required. Note port connections as indicated by
arrow or code letters on body corresponding to symbol codings. Before
installing valve ensure all pipework etc. is free of foreign matter (seal
material, adhesive, etc.). Fittings etc. should only be hand tightened on
valves with threaded ports; PTFE type is recommended for sealing. For
valves with plain connection Tangit solvent adhesive should be used.
Pipework should be positioned and supported such that valve body is not
under strain. Four tappings M4 x 5 mm are provided in the valve body for
fixation purposes.
The valve seats are factory set and should not be interfered with. Maxi-
mum thread depth is 10 mm.
Manual override
The manual override button can be retained in the actuated position by
rotating clockwise once depressed.
Electrical connection
Observe voltage and type of current on rating plate. Voltage tolerance ±10
%. Connection with Buerkert cable plug, degree of protection IP65, cable
cross-section 3 x 0.75 mm². Flat tag connector = earth connection. Cable
plug: rotatable through 4 x 90°. Tightening torque for cable plug 1Nm.
Malfunctions
Check port connections, operating pressure and supply voltage. If arma-
ture does not pull in check for short circuit or coil burn-out. A jammed
armature on AC versions causes coil overheating.
Spare parts
Repairs should basically only be carried out at the manufacturer's works.
If the seal holder or the main seal for the type 157 are replaced by the
user, improper sealing or malfunction may result.
