When collecting debris be aware of supply cords in the
vicinity. A hazard may occur if the appliance runs over the
supply cord.

Accessories

This product is supplied with the following accessories that
you will find in the dirt cup:
Wall hook: used to hang the appliance when not in use.
Refer to "Installing the wall hook".
Hardware bag: contains the hardware items.
Batteries: used to power the appliance, follow the
instructions given in the section "Installing the batteries".
Assembly
Warning! Before assembly, switch off the appliance.
Before first use, remove all components from the packaging
and familiarize yourself with them to help you in the
assembly and operation of your appliance.
The batteries, hardware bag and wall hook are located in
the dirt cup (6) and must be removed before first use.
To remove and open the dirt cup (6), follow the instructions
given in the section "Emptying the dirt cup".
Handle assembly (fig. A)
Insert the end of the bottom handle segment into the
motorised dust pan (4) (fig. A, 1). Make sure that you align
the key (A) in the connector with the keyway (B) in the
receptacle (C). Push the bottom handle section in until the
connector "clicks" in place.
The middle handle segment can only be assembled one
way in the bottom segment. (fig. A, 2). Make sure that the
shape of the key (D) in the connector matches the shape of
the keyway (E) in the bottom handle segment before
inserting and "clicking" in place.
Assemble the top handle segment to the middle handle
segment using a similar method (fig. A, 3), (F) & (G).
Installing the batteries (fig. B)
Warning! Use AA size batteries only. Use alkaline batteries
only.
Take extra care when replacing the batteries as they may
become hot if the appliance is used in the collect mode
(fig. C, 2) for extended periods of time.
Note: Before installing the batteries, make sure that the
handle is locked in place (fig. C, 1).
Remove the battery compartment cover (3) by pushing the
tab (fig. B, 1) and rotating up as shown in fig. B, 2.
Insert four new alkaline AA batteries (fig. B, 3) make sure to
match the (+) positive and the (-) negative terminals
correctly. Use alkaline batteries only.
Install the battery compartment cover (3).
Installing the wall hook
Note: It is highly recommend to hang the appliance on the
provided hook or a similar device to prevent damage to the
broom head (5).
Firmly attach the provided wall hook to the wall so it will
not pull out. It should be mounted at a minimum height of
54" (137 cm) to its' bottom to ensure the broom head (5)
does not touch the floor (fig. H).
Use the hardware provided only if hanging on hollow wall
construction. If not, use the appropriate fasteners for the
particular wall material.

Warning! Do not use the appliance without the dirt cup (6) in
place.
Note: The appliance has been designed for sweeping and
collecting dry debris from hard floor surfaces only.
Avoid sweeping-up pieces of string or similar material to
prevent clogging of the appliance rotating parts.
How to operate (fig. C, D and E)
To change from the sweep mode (fig. C, 1) to the collect
mode (fig. C, 2), push the button (1) in the end of the handle
and rotate the handle towards the broom bristles (fig. C, 3).
At this point, the beater bar (2) should start turning.
Note: During the collect mode, the beater bar (2) can be
momentarily stopped by pushing the button (1) in the end of
the handle.
Roll the appliance back and forth over the pile of debris to
collect it into the dirt cup (6). For the best pick-up
performance, the broom head bristles should be facing
away from the dirt pile as shown in fig. D.
To change back to the sweep mode (fig. C, 1), rotate the
handle back into the slot in the housing (fig. E) until it
latches and you hear a "click" sound. To make it easier to
return the handle to the sweep position, the button (1) in
the end of the handle can be pressed (fig. C, 3). At this point,
the beater bar (2) should stop turning.
