Ensure that the ON/OFF switch (2) is not depres-
sed. Only then should you connect the mains
plug to a suitable socket.
Do not switch on the circular saw until you have
fitted a saw blade.
Place the saw foot flat on the workpiece you wish
to saw. The saw blade must not be in contact
with the workpiece.
Now hold the circular saw securely in both
hands (Fig. 4/5).
7.2 Switching on the circular saw (Figure 7)
Press the locking button (1) and press the ON/OFF
switch (2) -> the circular saw will start.
Allow the saw blade to accelerate until it reaches
full speed. Then slowly move the saw blade
along the cutting line. Only exert gentle pressure
on the saw blade as you do so.
7.3 Switching off the circular saw (Figure 7)
Release the ON/OFF switch (2) -> the circular saw
will stop. The locking button will be released automat-
ically. If you release the handle the machine will shut
down automatically which means that it cannot oper-
ate accidentally.
Ensure that you do not cover or block the ventila-
tion openings whilst working with the tool.
Do not slow down the saw blade after you switch
it off by pressing it sideways.
Important! Do not put down the machine until the
saw blade has reached a complete standstill.
Tip: We recommend that you carry out a trial cut
in a piece of waste wood before you start the real
job in hand.
7.4 Parallel stop (Figure 8)
The parallel stop (11) enables you to saw parallel
lines.
Undo the locking screw (10) on the saw foot (20).
Set the required spacing and then tighten the
locking screw (10) again.
Using the parallel stop
Position the parallel stop (11) flat on the edge of
the workpiece and then start the cut.
7.5 Changing the saw blade (Fig. 9 / 10 / 11)
Use only saw blades (19) of the same type as the
one supplied with this circular saw. Ask your dea-
ler for advice.
Press the spindle lock (4). Undo the screw (14)
using the wrench (a). Remove the screw and
washer.
Remove the outer flange. The saw blade (19) is
sharp! Wear gloves to reduce the risk of injury.

Push the saw blade cover (12) as far as possible.
The saw blade (19) can now be removed (Fig.
10).
Do not remove the inner flange. If the position of
the inner flange has been moved, it must be
returned to its original position before you fit the
saw blade (19). (Fig. 11 – layout of the saw blade
components).
Fit a suitable saw blade (19) through the opening
on the base of the saw foot (20). Adjust the saw
blade to the inner flange; you may have to turn
the saw blade slightly to enable you to insert it
correctly on the flange.
Check that the saw blade (19) turns in the correct
direction.
Fit the outer flange on the motor shaft. Secure
the washer.
Tighten the screw (14) using the wrench.
Release the saw blade cover (12).
7.6 Using the laser (Figures 12 / 13)
The laser (7) enables you to make precision cuts
with your circular saw.
The laser light is generated by a laser diode
powered by two batteries. The laser light is enlar-
ged to form a line and is emitted through the
laser emission aperture. You can then use the
line as an optical marker for the sawing line for
precision cuts. Follow the laser safety instruc-
tions.
Inserting the batteries: Set the Laser switch
(17) to position 0 (laser off). Remove the battery
compartment cover (18). Fit the two supplied bat-
teries, ensuring that you fit them the right way
round (Fig. 13). Fit the battery compartment
cover (18) again.
Adjusting the laser: Set the Laser switch (17)
to position I (laser on). A red laser beam will now
be projected from the laser emission aperture. If
you guide the laser beam along the sawing line
mark as you saw, you will produce clean, precise
cuts.
Switching off the laser: Set the Laser switch
(17) to position 0 (laser off). The laser beam will
go out. Always switch off the laser when it is not
needed to save the batteries and to prevent the
inadvertent spreading of laser radiation.
The laser beam can be blocked by deposits of
dust and chips. You should therefore remove
these particles from the laser emission aperture
before you use the laser.
Notes on batteries: If you do not intend to use the
laser for a lengthy period of time, remove the bat-
teries from the battery compartment. Any leakage
