Using the hotplate

WARNING
Risk of burns!
The hotplate becomes very
hot during operation and
also retains residual heat
after use. Touching the hot-
plate when hot can lead to
burns.
Do not touch the hotplate

ter operation once the ap-
pliance has been switched
off and the residual heat
has disappeared.

The hotplate (12) is intended to
keep tea warm in the teapot (13).
1. Brew tea as described in the
chapter 'Using the teapot' on
page EN-19.
2. Place the filled teapot on the
hotplate.
3. To switch on the hotplate,
press the On/Off button (10).
The blue LED will light up in
the pre-heating phase. After
approximately 20 seconds, the
blue LED will go out. The red
LED will illuminate to indicate
the keep warm mode.
4. Set the desired keep warm tem-
perature by pressing the tem-
perature buttons (8) or (9) in.
The temperature is shown on
the display (11) (70 °C to 90 °C).
The hotplate will retain the
temperature which has been
set. After 40 minutes, the hot-
plate will automatically switch
to standby mode.
5. To switch off the hotplate,
press the On/Off button again.
The red LED will go out and

the display will show two flash-
ing bars.
