3.8 Pinch roller unit
– Disengage the locking lug M (Fig. 10).
– Turn the pinch roller holder (K546, Fig. 10) clockwise then remove
it.
– Remove the pinch roller unit (G555, Fig. 10).
– Remove the push rod (B474, Fig. 10) if necessary.
Note on reassembly:
– Hook the push rod (B474, Fig. 11) into the lever B468.
– Slide the push rod to its right end stop.
– Insert the pinch roller unit so that the mark B (Fig. 10) runs in parallel
to the push rod.
– Refit the pinch roller holder (K546).

3.9 Reel brake, right
– Remove the cassette lift (point 3.2).
– Remove the spring (K350, Fig. 11).
– Disengage the 2 locking lugs N (Fig. 11) then remove the right reel
brake (K340).
Reassembly is carried out in reverse order.
Note on reassembly:
– Insert the spring (K350) as shown in Fig. 11.
3.10 Reel brake, left
– Remove the cassette lift (point 3.2).
– Remove the spring (K350, Fig. 11).
– Disengage the locking lug O (Fig. 11) then remove the left reel brake
(K330).
Reassembly is carried out in reverse order.
Note on reassembly:
– Insert the spring (K350) as shown in Fig. 11.

3.11 Brake band / back tension arm
– Remove the left reel brake (point 3.10).
– Remove the loading motor (point 3.1).
– Slide the lift lever (K530, Fig. 6) inwards to its end stop.
– Turn the gear joint (B448, Fig.3) clockwise to its end stop.
– Press on the release lever (B478, Fig. 11) to disengage it then turn
the white gear joint (B448, Fig. 3) clockwise until the back tension
arm is near by the full erase head.
– Remove the brake band (K250, Fig. 11) from the reel, turn it
clockwise to its end stop then remove it.
Note: make sure that the felt of the brake band does not come in
contact with grease or oil.
– Remove the back tension arm (K240, Fig. 11) if necessary:
– Unhook the spring of the back tension arm at the bottom of the drive
mechanism.
– Bend the catch in direction of the arrow C (Fig. 12) until the back
tension arm can just be removed (Attention! Danger of breaking!).
– Remove the back tension arm (K240, Fig. 12).
Note on reassembly:
– After refitting the back tension arm bend the catch only till the mark
D (Fig. 12).
Reassembly is carried out in reverse order.
3.12 Reel
– Remove the reel brakes and the brake band (Chapter 3.9...3.11).
– Remove the reels (K140 / K110, Fig. 1).
Reassembly is carried out in reverse order.
3.13 Control slide
– Remove the reel belt (G542, Fig. 2).
– Disengage the locking lug P (Fig. 11) then remove the loading drive
gear (B484, Fig. 2).
– Undo the screw Q (Fig. 13) then remove the holder.
– Remove the gear joint (B458, Fig. 13).
– Remove the control slide (B464, Fig. 13).
Note on reassembly:
– Lower the cassette compartment:
– Remove the loading motor (point 3.1).
– Turn the white gear joint (B448, Fig. 3) clockwise until the hole E
(Fig. 13) faces the shaft of the gear joint (B458).
– Slide the pinch roller reverse lever (B468, Fig. 13) to the front of the
drive mechanism.
– Insert the control slide (B464) into the guides R (Fig. 13) of the
chassis so that the mark F faces the shaft of the gear joint (B458).
Furthermore the guide pins X of the levers (B468 / B478) as well as
of the brakes (K340 / K330) must engage into the openings in the
control lever (Fig. 13).
– Insert the gear joint (B458, Fig. 13) so that it faces the holes E / G.
Furthermore the mark H must point at the mark F on the control
slide.
– Fix the holder with the screw Q (Fig. 13).
– Insert the loading drive gear (B484, Fig. 13) with the drive mecha-
nism in the unthread position so that the hole I faces the mark J
on the threading arm and the mark L on the control slide is visible
through the hole K. Press the control lever against the guides R and
lock in the loading drive gear (B484).
– Fit the reel belt.
