16.2 Commissioning of the Docking Station
Place the docking station in a level, stable, clean place that is not in the sun. Plug the power cable into the
external power supply. Plug the DC plug of the power supply into the DC outlet in the docking station
(marked with the DC symbol

17 Handling the Backhand Scanner and Docking Station
17.1 Backhand scanner
17.1.1 Switching on
Use the following button to turn on the backhand scanner:
"Scanner Button" (pressed for one second)
The status LED flashes white as soon as the backhand scanner is switched on and ready for operation.
17.1.2 Switching off
Use the following button to turn off the backhand scanner:
"Scanner Button" (press and hold for seven seconds)
The Status LED goes out as soon as the backhand scanner is turned off.
17.1.3 Suspended mode
In suspended mode the proximity sensor is deactivated. This prevents unintentional triggering of the
scanner.
The backhand scanner automatically switches to suspended mode after an adjustable time (see section 7
Configuration).
To leave suspended mode, press the scanner button briefly.
17.1.4 Status LED and vibration motor
The status LEDs of the module are described below.

Status LED flashes White every five seconds:
The device is turned on, but not yet connected.
•
Status LED flashes Blue every five seconds:
The device is switched on and connected via Bluetooth.
•
Status LED flashes White or Blue at ten-second intervals (depending on the connection status of
the backhand scanner):
The device is in suspended mode.

The docking station can be disconnected from the power supply by
pulling the power plug.
The associated outlet must be near the docking station and easily
