19 Configuration

19.1 Individual configurations

The behavior of the backhand scanner can be adjusted by means of certain barcodes called configuration
barcodes.
One parameter to be set is the trigger radius of the proximity sensor within which the scanner is triggered as
soon as an object enters it. In addition, the suspend time can be set, the vibration motor can be
(de)activated, the keyboard type can be configured to insert characters via BLE, a possible keyboard symbol
can be set at the end of each transmitted barcode and all system settings can be reset.
Section "Standard configurations" shows example barcodes that can be set quickly and easily for setting
possible example variables. To change several different system parameters, scan the corresponding
barcodes one after the other. Only the barcode for "Reset to default values" causes all stored variables to be
reset.
The structure of the configuration barcode is shown below so that each system variable can be set
individually in a barcode.
Configuration codes themselves must have a length of exactly 21 ASCII characters and the following
sequence of brackets at the beginning: )]{
If a system variable should not set, this is indicated by the character string FE in the barcode.
The parameters are stored in the barcode as follows:
