2.2.3.2 Mounting Shanks Ø28
1. Dismounting the shank:
1.1 Unscrew the 2 clamping screws (refer to Fig. 6) using a hexagon key AF4 mm.
1.2 Remove the Touch Probe with the modular adapter from the shank.
1.3 Loosen all 4 adjustment screws (refer to Fig. 6) using a hexagon key AF2 mm.
1.4 Unscrew the mounting screw (refer to Fig. 6) from the top of the modular adapter using a hexagon key
AF4 mm.
1.5 Remove the modular adapter from the Touch Probe.
1.6 Remove the washer of the mounting screw from the inside of the modular adapter.
2. Mounting the shank:
2.1 Carefully slide the modular adapter onto the Touch Probe.
2.2 Lightly tighten the 4 adjustment screws using a hexagon key AF2 mm.
2.3 Insert the washer into the modular adapter from the top.
2.4 Insert the mounting screw into the modular adapter from the top and tighten it using a hexagon key
AF4 mm.
2.5 Carefully slide the shank onto the modular adapter.
2.6 Insert the 2 clamping screws into the shank and tighten them using a hexagon key AF4 mm.
3. Align the stylus to spindle center (refer to chapter 2.2.5).
4. Calibrate the probe.
