Purpose

Infrared Touch Probe IRP60.00
The Infrared Touch Probe IRP60.00 is used for workpiece measurement, and automatic determination and
compensation of deviating angular positions of workpieces. Moreover, it is used for setting zero points inside the
machine tool.
The infrared Touch Probe IRP60.00 is capable of measuring workpiece geometries like edges, bores, bosses, slots,
webs, angles, corners and circular arches. Furthermore, it allows measuring of complex geometries like
3-dimensional surfaces and measuring with swivelled 4th and 5th axis.
The measurement signals from the Touch Probe are transmitted to the receiver via infrared transmission.
Infrared Tool Setter IRT65.00
The Infrared Tool Setter IRT65.00 is used for determination of tool geometries like tool length and tool radius inside
the machine. Moreover it measures single cutters and detects tool breakage. Therefore the measurements can be
performed statically or dynamically as well.
Infrared Receiver IRR61.00
The Infrared Receiver IRR61.00 is used for reception of measuring signals from the Infrared Probe IRP60.00 and the
Infrared Tool Setter IRT65.00. It is also responsible for activation/deactivation of the measuring systems and for all
system communication to the machine control.
