4 Installation

4.1 Prerequisites for Installation

The pipette calibration kit can be installed in the
weighing chamber of the following models:
− Secura models 225D-1..., 125-1..., 324-1...
®
− Quintix models 125D-1...
®
Ensure the following conditions have been met:
− The place of installation of the balance must not be
exposed to drafts or vibrations
− No exposure to direct sunlight
− Temperature: 20 – 25 °C
− Constant conditions during measurement: ± 0.5°C
Procedure
Ensure that the liquid temperatures in the moisture
t
trap are conditioned to the ambient temperature
(acclimatization takes at least 2 hours).
Ensure that all parts of the pipette being tested are
t
at the temperature in the weighing chamber.
If required: Wait a few minutes.
t
Observe the national legal regulations for pipette
t
calibration.

4.2 Disassembling Components

Procedure
Remove the following parts from the weighing
t
chamber:
− Weighing pan
− Weighing chamber base
