DVD-MovieAlbumSE 3
By combining DVD-MovieAlbumSE 3 with this drive, you can playback, record and edit video record-
ings compatible with the DVD Forum's video recording standards on computer.
You can create discs on your computer that can also be played on compatible DVD recorders and
players; play the images you recorded on a DVD recorder and erase unnecessary parts; create play
lists with simple mouse and keyboard commands; and add or edit titles, plus other editing functions.
Record up to 4 hours of MPEG 2 images in the video recording format on a
DVD-RAM disc
With recording via the "Import pictures from file" function using the software MPEG2 Encoder, it is
possible to use DV format AVI files and digital camera still pictures to produce DVD-RAM.
You can record using the XP, high quality mode (maximum 1 hour), the standard SP mode (maximum
2 hours), or the long LP mode (maximum 4 hours).
Importing pictures directly from DV camera
It is possible to import pictures directly from DV camera and produce a Video Recording Format DVD-
RAM disc.
However, the "Capture" function for DV camera is available only on Windows 98SE or later versions
(cannot be used with Windows 98).
Simple play using thumbnail images
When you start DVD-MovieAlbumSE 3 and insert a disc with recordings on it, the first frame of each
program is automatically displayed as a thumbnail image. Just double-click on the thumbnail to start
playing the program.
You can also change the displayed thumbnail to show a particular frame in the program.
Find a scene using play lists and indexes
You can easily find a particular scene from amongst those recorded. Finding a part you want to watch
is made easier by marking scenes and creating play lists.
Image exporting function
You can export programs, play lists, and scenes as MPEG 2 or BMP files.
It is also possible to transfer extracted data and title information etc to MyDVD
Video.
When you export files, an HTML menu is also created that can be viewed in a browser. By then burning
the entire folder to a DVD-R or CD-R, you can easily create a disc that can be played using menus.
Simple editing using the keyboard, mouse, and X128 shuttle search feature
As well as being able to use the keyboard and mouse, the software also has a x128, high-speed search
shuttle. This makes it easier to perform editing functions such as finding places to mark, setting up play
list scenes, and creating and changing titles.
Software for copying video recording format discs
Copy software that conforms to the video recording standard is included. Using this software makes it
easy to make copies by the disc or program.
You cannot use Explorer to copy video recording format files. Use only the included software.
