Conversion and Extension

8.1.1 Inserting a valve

See Fig. 13 on page 89.
1. Remove the valve cover (1) from a spare position by undoing
the three hex head screws (2) using a 7 mm wrench.
2. Remove the blanking plate (3) by undoing the two Pozidrive
screws (4). Screwdriver PZD no. 1.
3. Place the new valve (5) on the free subbase. Press gently on
the valve's electrical connector end, making sure the
contacts are straight and that the seal is seated correctly.
4. Fasten the valve (5) by means of two self-tapping Pozidrive
screws (6). Tightening torque 1.1–1.3 Nm. Screwdriver PZD
no. 1.
5. Make sure that the manual override is in position 0. Turn it
carefully if necessary.
6. Replace the valve cover (1). Make sure the seal (7) is
correctly positioned. Tighten the three hex head screws (2)
to
1.0–1.2 Nm.
7. Connect the compressed air supply.
8. Make the electrical connections if the connector pins
assigned to the new position have not yet been connected.
