These values refer to the maximum voltage, the minimum value of the built-in
resistance and the resulting maximum current.
Maximum voltage U
The maximum voltage does not refer to the operating range, but to the value
that can be reached in the case of a fault without fuse tripping.
The resistance value is not identical to the maximum series resistance. These
values simply give a hint of the maximum values that can be reached in the
event of a fault.
Series resistance
This refers to the resistance that can be measured between both ends of a
barrier channel. It is determined from the sum of resistance R and the
resistance value of the fuse at an ambient temperature of 20°C.
Polarity
All connections must be made with the specified polarity.
Maximum current in the intrinsically safe circuit (I
This is the maximum current that can flow in the intrinsically safe circuit in the
event of a fault.
Maximum input voltage (U
The maximum voltage that can be created between the contact of the non-Ex
area and ground without fuse tripping.
This value is determined with an open intrinsically safe circuit and an ambient
temperature of 20°C.
