– Do not drop the instrument.
– Make sure that no water enters the instrument. But if this should happen,
do not use the instrument again until it is completely dry.
– Do not use chemical detergent or scouring agents for cleaning.
– Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.

5. Replacing the battery

If the inserted batteries are empty, you must replace them.
To replace the batteries, follow the instructions in the "Initial use" chapter.

7. Disposal

Please dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive –
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
If you have any queries, please contact the appropriate local autho-
rities.
Spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not constitute normal
household waste! They are con- sidered to be toxic waste and, as such,
should be disposed of in special containers, toxic waste col- lection points
or brought to electrical goods dealers. You are legally obliged to dispose of
the batteries.
Note: Batteries containing pollutant substances are marked as
follows: Pb= Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cad-
mium, Hg = Battery contains mercury.
