Dirt and dust may impair the performance of the device. The device must therefore be
protected from such influences to the greatest possible extent and covered with the dust cover
when not in use. Before covering the device, always make sure that it is definitely switched OFF.
Considerable temperature fluctuations, direct exposure to sunlight and vibrations should be
avoided.
Blocking or covering ventilation louvers may result in heat accumulation which may damage the
device and in extreme cases even cause fire. Always keep ventilation louvers free and do not
insert or allow any objects to fall into them. All electrical components and parts must be located
at a distance of min. 15 cm from flammable objects and walls.
If it is intended to operate the Stemi 305 cam with an external fibre optical cold light source,
please refer to the appropriate operating instructions incl. the safety provisions contained in it
before commissioning the light source.
The desktop power unit must not get into contact with moisture.
The Stemi 305 cam body with Wi-Fi may only be used if it is covered by a radio license for your
region. Contact your ZEISS representative.
To protect the WLAN against access by unauthorized persons while operating the
Stemi 305 cam, it is recommended to change the standard password via the WLAN
configuration website. When selecting the new WLAN password, make sure that the password
contains digits and letters and is as long as possible.
Changes to the Stemi 305 cam body involving Wi-Fi (e. g. aerials) are not admissible, as this
would invalidate the existing radio licenses.
Should the WLAN password for the Stemi 305 cam no longer be known, the device can be
reset to the factory settings via the Reset feature (incl. WLAN-SSID and WLAN password, see
data on the back of the device).
For transport over an extended distance, the device must be dismantled partially and
transported in its original packaging.
To transport the device over an extended distance, use the original packaging or the transport
case Stemi 305/508.
