Search for signal
In the menus >Communication< and >Sensors< you can search for the signal to be measured as long as you
like prior to the actual diagnosis. The device provides hints and tips for finding the signal.

Evaluation
The signal is evaluated using the nominal values stored in the device, which are based on manufacturers' data
and empirical values. In some cases, however, the signals can deviate from the standard due to a different
construction of the component or the system. Therefore, check these signals under >Oscilloscope< again and
compare the read out actual values to the nominal values given by the manufacturer before replacing the
component.
11. Follow the on-screen instructions.
The message Test finished. appears if the measurement has been done successfully.
The individual measurements are evaluated afterwards.

8.2.2 Saving the guided measurement

To save the guided measurement:
1. Finish the guided measurement.

8.2.3 Retrieving a Stored Guided Measurement

To retrieve stored guided measurements:
1. Select >Vehicle selection< in the main menu.

The device then automatically goes back to the main menu.
4. Select >Vehicle information< in the main menu.
5. Open the Car History with

The guided measurement is displayed.

NOTE
Several adapters, e.g. terminals and needles, are enclosed to the device in order to pick off the
signal. For reasons of corrosion protection, it is advisable to seal the perforation of lines or
sealing rings tapped beforehand with silicone or another sealing agent.
NOTE
If you do not enter a license plate number or the customer name, the device does not store any
data of the current vehicle in the Car History.
