8.2 Guided Measurements
In this menu it is possible to diagnose signals emitted by electric components and the activation through the ECU. It
also offers a wide range of tests of the vehicle electrics and pressure measurements.
In addition to the actual measurement, the Guided measurements menu contains the following help functions
depending on the selected measurement:
• Connection help
• Pre-defined measuring range settings
• Automatic good/bad evaluation of the signals
• Helpful dialogs for signal evaluation and troubleshooting
• Nominal signal values for repair
CAUTION
Mobile and energized parts
Risk of injury or material damages
Pay attention to the following before starting the diagnostic work:
• Apply the parking brake.
• Protect all connected lines from heat and rotating parts.
• Regard the window with information and instructions.
• Do not cause short circuits.

8.2.1 Performing Guided Measurements

To perform guided measurements:
1. Select >Measurements< in the main menu.
2. Select the >Guided measurements< tab.
3. Select the required fuel type.
4. Select the required system.
5. Select the required assembly.
6. Select the requested component and or diagnostic type from the selection window on the left.
7. Select the desired parameter from the selection window on the right.
8. Regard the window with information and instructions.
