REEF-Flow instructions v1-2015_Layout 1 11/03/2015 17:23 Page 6
INTRODUCTION
The REEF-Flow Pump has been designed to simulate the natural currents found within the reef
environment. Using the supplied controller, you can choose from a number of pre-set wave
patterns.
The master/slave format allows several pumps to be controlled wirelessly from the master
controller, with the water output of each slave pump individually adjustable and the master
pump controlling the wave pattern for all pumps.
A night sensor detects low light levels and adjusts the flow of the pump to a slower water
motion, typical of night currents, improving coral feeding, giving a variation of flows in the
aquarium and helping to reduce nuisance sweeper tentacles from reaching too far.
A push button "feed timer" slows the water flow for 10 minutes to allow fish to feed.

INSTALLATION

1. Ensuring that the glass surfaces you wish to place the magnets on are clean, locate the magnet
anti-vibration suction cups either side of the glass, in your desired position, making sure the
power cable will exit the aquarium in a suitable place for connecting to the controller.
Please note: maximum glass thickness suitable for these pumps is 15mm.
Useful tip: You can use the slight suction effect of the magnet anti vibration cup inside the
aquarium to hold the pump in position for a short while, whist you gently fit the other side of
the magnet.
2. Place the controller above or near the aquarium (ensuring a drip loop is in place) in a dry and
non humid area. Do not place the controller in the cabinet with a sump as this may be too
humid. Connect the controller DC plug to the pump DC connector.
3. With the mains power switched off, connect the PSU DC plug to the controller DC input.
4. Ensuring that the pump is fully submerged and all connections are made, switch the power on
at the mains. The pump will enter its last used settings.
Useful tip: The controller features a memory feature so the settings are saved in the event of a
power cut.
