1. FRANCAIS
Vous venez d'acquérir un produit INVACARE
suivant les normes de qualité et de sécurité les plus sévères et sont conformes aux
directives européennes (MDD 93/42/EEC). Ils sont garantis un an. Toutefois, certains
produits disposent d'une garantie plus importante ; consulter votre revendeur.
Il est impératif de respecter les consignes d'utilisation et d'entretien suivantes :
· Vérifier que le produit vous est livré en parfait état avant toute utilisation.
· En cas de doutes concernant les restrictions d'utilisation, le réglage ou la maintenance du
produit, contacter votre revendeur.
· Ne pas dépasser le poids maximum utilisateur
indiqué sur l'étiquette du produit.
· Toujours veiller à ce que le produit soit adapté à vos besoins. En cas de doute, consulter
un professionnel de la santé.
· Les pièces usées, endommagées ou manquantes devront être immédiatement remplacées
par un réparateur agréé.
· Ne pas laisser ou stocker le produit à l'extérieur.
· Vérifier périodiquement la stabilité et la rigidité du produit et, le cas échéant, le serrage
correct des vis ainsi que l'état des embouts caoutchouc.
· Une grande vigilance est impérative lors de l'utilisation du produit sur surface humide.
REGLAGE DE LA HAUTEUR DE LA POIGNEE (toutes les cannes sauf modèles
en bois)
Dans tous les cas, vérifier la solidité de la canne et le bon enclanchement du bouton ressort
ou du clip avant utilisation.
Modèle avec bouton ressort
· Si présente (modèles P256, P264A, P265A, P2831 et P2832), dévisser la bague antibruit.
· Libérer le pied en appuyant sur le bouton à ressort. Régler le pied à la hauteur voulue. Si
présente, revisser la bague antibruit.
Modèle avec clip
· Si présente (modèles P256, P264A, P265A, P2831 et P2832), dévisser la bague antibruit.
· Oter le clip et régler le pied à la hauteur voulue et aligner l'axe des trous des parties
externe et interne.
· Insérer le clip dans les trous à la hauteur choisie et clipser. Si présente, revisser la bague
antibruit.
REGLAGE EN HAUTEUR DE LA MANCHETTE (P225M – P226M - P225L -
P226L - P2831 -P2832)
· Appuyer sur le bouton ressort et régler la hauteur de la manchette.
· Vérifier le bon enclenchement du bouton ressort avant utilisation.
MONTAGE DE LA CANNE PLIANTE P260
· Emboîter les éléments pliables les uns dans les autres.
· Régler la hauteur de la poignée comme indiqué ci-dessus.

Utiliser la canne de façon à ce que les appuis soient situés vers l'extérieur (et non pas du
coté de l'utilisateur.) Les cannes tripodes et quadripodes ne doivent pas être utilisées dans
les escaliers.
ENTRETIEN
Utiliser un chiffon doux humidifié pour nettoyer poussière et saleté. Utiliser de l'eau
savonneuse pour nettoyer les salissures plus importantes. Sécher avec un chiffon doux. Pour
la désinfection en milieu hospitalier, suivre les recommendations du spécialiste de l'hygiène.

2. ENGLISH
You have just purchased an INVACARE
manufactured to the most rigorous quality and safety standards and conform to the
European directives (MDD 93/42/EEC). They are guaranteed for one year. Certain products
may have a longer guarantee; please check with your dealer.
The following operating and maintenance instructions must be observed:
· Check that the product has been delivered in perfect condition before you use it.
· If you have any doubts about the restrictions on use, the adjustment or maintenance of
the product, please contact your dealer.
· Do not exceed the maximum operating load
product label.
· Always ensure that the product is suitable for your requirements; in case of doubt, check
with a health professional.
· Worn, damaged or missing components must be replaced immediately by an approved
repairer.
· Do not leave or store the product out of doors.
· Periodically check the stability and rigidity of the product and, where applicable, that the
screws are correctly tightened and the rubber end caps in good condition.
· Take particular care when using the product on damp surfaces.
OPENING THE FRAME (EXCEPT P435M)
Pull the walking frame's two side uprights apart until they lock. The P402 has two positions;
to open it wider, press down the central plastic ring and move the uprights apart until they
lock in the new position.
SETTING THE HEIGHT OF THE LEGS
Press the spring button until the leg releases, adjust the leg to the desired height and check
that the spring button is positioned correctly. All the legs should be set to the same height.
USE
Before using the walking frame, check that it is locked in the open position by gripping the
sides and trying to close them.
The walking frame should only be used on hard, flat surfaces. Do not use it on stairs.
FITTING ACCESSORIES
Fixed front wheels on the P435M frame (O435CE)
· Replace the two front legs with the two-wheeled extension pieces, with the wheels
pointing outwards.
· Adjust the height; the frame's handles should be horizontal.
Front wheels for frames 6291E-A and 6291E-JR (6270E: fixed front wheels /
6267E: swivelling front wheels)
· Replace the two front legs with the two-wheeled extension pieces, with the wheels
pointing outwards, following the following convention: RH = right-hand wheel and LH =
left-hand wheel (as viewed from the back of the frame). Adjust the height; the frame's
handles should be horizontal.
· Then replace the standard end caps on the rear legs with the low-friction caps supplied.
Warning: the low-friction caps are designed to slide when you are walking and do not have
the same grip as the standard caps. Take particular care when using them.
Rear wheels with pressure brakes for frames 6291E-A and 6291E-JR (6265E)
NB: 6265E braked rear wheels can only be fitted to frames with 6267E front wheels.
· Replace the rear legs with the wheeled extension pieces. Adjust the height. The frame's
handles should be horizontal.
Shopping bag for frames 6291E-A and 6291E-JR (6013)
Attach the 6013 shopping bag to the front and sides of the frame with Velcro.
Front armrests for frames 6291E-A and 6291E-JR (6027)
· Slide the two aluminium armrests onto the vertical bars on each side of the frame,
pulling them apart gently until they are just above the horizontal plastic bar. Turn the
armrests inwards so that they face each other. Insert the two cowls on each end of the
31cm tube. Fit the 31cm tube into the armrests and fix it in place using 2 screws and
nuts.
· Slide the armrest support into the 75cm tube and tighten it. Slide the tube with the
handle under the support: tighten as soon as you can see the lug.
· Slide the 75cm tube into the flat armrests and refit onto the support.
· Fit the 75cm tube vertically. Fit a "U" around the 31cm tube into the two holes in the
75cm tube. Tighten temporarily with 2 nuts.
· Fit a "U" around the plastic handle on the upper part of the frame into the 2 holes in the
armrest. Tighten temporarily with 2 nuts.
· Position everything correctly and tighten.
FOLDING
P402 and P408
Hold down the central plastic ring and fold the side uprights inwards.
6291E–A and 6291E-JR
Press down the top of one side and fold the side inwards. Repeat for the other side.
MAINTENANCE
Use a soft cloth to clean away any dirt or dust. Use soap and water to remove stubborn
stains. Dry with a soft cloth. For disinfection in hospital environments, please follow the
hygiene specialist's recommendations.
