Troubleshooting

Cross-countercurrent heat exchanger
f Remove the wedge from between the appliance body and the f
cross-countercurrent heat exchanger.
f Carefully remove the heat exchanger from the appliance. f
Avoid damaging the EPS parts in the appliance.
f Use a commercially available vacuum cleaner to remove dust f
and other loose dirt particles from the intake and discharge
surfaces.
f If required, clean the heat exchanger with warm water f
(max. 55 °C) and a commercially available detergent. Never
use solvents.
f Flush the heat exchanger with water. f
Fan
You can clean the fans without disconnecting the cables leading
to the fans. Nevertheless, we recommend removing the control
panel cover. Then you can unplug the control cable and power
cable from the printed circuit board.
f Undo the screws securing the fans. f
f Clean the fans with a soft brush. f
Preheater
In principle, the preheater does not need to be cleaned. Inade-
quate filter changing can cause dust to build up in the appliance.
In this case, the preheater does need to be cleaned.
Refitting the components
f Push the fan units back into the appliance. f
f Reconnect the fan cables. f
f Fit the control panel cover. f
f Slide the cross-countercurrent heat exchanger back into the f
appliance.
f Push the wedge back in again. f
f Fit the condensate pan. f
Air ducts
Air ducts must be checked at regular intervals and cleaned if nec-
essary. Disconnect the air ducts from the appliance or carry out in-
spection and cleaning through the extract air and supply air vents.

WARNING Electrocution
Disconnect the power supply by unplugging the appli-
ance from the mains before carrying out work inside
the appliance.
Fault
--- No fault present
E8 Extract air humidity value
E10 Extract air temperature value
E16 The float switch (condensate) has re-
sponded.
E17 Outdoor air temperature sensor short
circuit
E18 Outdoor air temperature sensor lead
break
E101 Supply air fan
E102 Exhaust air fan
E201 No RTC communication (RTC = real-time
clock)
E202 No RTC pulse
E203 Sensor voltage incorrect
If fault E16 is displayed, faults E101 and E102 are also displayed
in the fault memory.
You can only reset this fault
by interrupting the power
supply to the appliance and
switching it back on again.
This fault can occur in
combination with other
appliances that produce
negative pressure, e.g. sin-
gle room air ventilators or
extractor hoods. If the fault
is permanently displayed,
please notify a qualified
contractor.
