7.2.4 Installing the optional accessories

Mechanical or inductive limit switches
The technical specifications for limit switches can be found in the catalogue. Ensure that the wir-
ing is safely laid out during installation. Avoid damage to the wiring, for example by having radii
that are too small, as this can lead to failure of the system. The wiring must not be in the path
travelled by the linear unit.
Mechanical limit switch
Limit switches are installed by means of a rail, which is secured to the end elements of the linear
unit with support elements. Limit switches can be moved axially and fixed to the rail.
Inductive limit switch
The limit switch is installed at its position on the side of the guidance section of the linear shaft
with a support plate. The groove running in the side of the guidance section is used to secure the
switch at the desired switching point position. The fixing kit is enclosed with the part.
