SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Always ensure that your ice skates are fitting snugly. They should not be too small but
must under no circumstances be too big, as you will not be able to stand securely if the
boot is too large.
• Please do not make any modifications to the construction of the product as this may
influence the skate's safety!
• For your own safety, wear appropriate protective gear, e.g. gloves, reflective clothing,
knee and elbow protectors and a helmet. These are also available from HUDORA.
• Always use blade protectors when you are off the ice. They will help protect the blades'
skating properties for a long period of time.
• Please always include the instructions when passing on the product to a third party!
• Do not use your ice skates once the blades have become blunt or rusty, or if the rivets
on the boots have come loose or the shoelaces have been torn.
• Warning: Ground blades are sharp and can cause cuts!
• When skating on naturally ice-covered areas, e.g. on frozen lakes, there is a danger
that you could fall through the ice!
ICE SKATE CONSTRUCTION
A skate boot is referred to in professional circles as "Ice-complete". Ice skates are boots
with a rigidly-attached blade, the actual ice skate. The plastic shell and the skate are firmly
connected to each other. The skate blade consists of steel of a hardness of at least 52 HRC
at the contact surface. The ices skates are ground ready for use. Please do not make any
modifications to the construction of the product as this may influence the skate's safety.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

SIZE ADJUSTMENT (FIG. 1-7)
Several adjustment mechanisms ensure optimum adaptation and driving comfort: the
quick-release fastener at the top of the boot, the power strap (hook-and-loop fastener) over
the soft boot, the 3-step easy-fit quick-lacing system as well as the skate size and width
adjustment over six sizes. These can be set as follows.
Quick-release fastener (Fig. 1-2)
To open the quick-release fastener completely, slide the push buckle on the colour-contrast-
ing surface from back to front and simultaneously away from the boot (Fig. 1). Press in the
press-lock button on the inside and pull the belt out to the front (Fig. 2). The push buckle
must be open to tighten the quick-release fastener. Push the press-lock button located on
the inside and slide the belt into the inner buckle until the desired setting is reached (Fig. 2).
To close of the quick fastener, push the push buckle in the direction of the skate until it clicks
into place.
Power strap and 3-step Easy-Fit quick lacing system (Fig. 3-4)
To lace the boot with the 3-step easy-fit quick lace system, the quick release fastener and
power strap must be completely open. To move the lace stopper, the locking knob on the
lace stopper must be at the top (Fig. 4b). The shoelace ends are connected to the attached
logo on the tongue of the boot. (Fig. 3) Remove the logo from the tongue of the boot, tighten
the laces and push the lace stopper to the position where you would otherwise tie a loop. Fix
the shoelace stopper there by moving the locking knob on the shoelace stopper downwards
