The Universal Flooring Stripper is a very powerful machine designed for continuous operation by professional decora-
tors. The stripper gives users a rational and clean approach to removing any kind of floor covering.
Assembling
First push the clamps for the handgrips onto the plug part of the handle. Use the wing nuts to bolt on the grips. After
bolting on the grips, the clamps can easily be moved on the handle. Now retract the handle and connect it to the appli-
ance. The Universal Flooring Stripper is now ready for operation.
Switching on
The switch is located in the black part on the underside of the appliance. When you power on, the starting current limi-
ter slowly ramps the appliance up to speed. The switch can be latched by pushing in the button on the side. To switch
off, press the switch again. Do not plug the appliance in with the on/off switch latched; this will cause the mains fuse
to blow. Sockets must be rated at 10 A only. Extension leads must have a diameter of 1.5 mm². Cable drums must be
fully unwound.

Work instructions

For floor coverings with a foam backing, first pull off the textile top side. (STORCH tear off handle article no. 36 10
00). You can then start to remove the foam at any position to reveal a smooth, firm surface. All other floor coverings
are cut into strips the width of the blade and peeled off in strips. There is normally no need for filling.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is not required. Check the length of the carbon brushes from time to time; they are located below
the black caps. Use only original carbons! The ball bearings are life-type lubricated and sealed.
Replacing the blades
There is no need to grind the blades; it is sufficient to turn them round. To do so, loosen the four slotted-head screws
behind the blade; you can then pull out the blade to the front. Do not allow the blade to wear down excessively; only
use original blades for the Flooring Stripper (STORCH art. no. 36 00 01).
Repairs
The Universal Flooring Stripper is designed for a long service life. If a defect does occur after many hours of service,
be sure to have the repairs performed by our professional workshop. If you notice a fault, do not continue working; this
could cause damage to previously undamaged parts.
