Make sure that the vehicle seat headrest doesn't affect the correct po-
·
sitioning of the child car seat, and removing it if necessary (Fig. 9 ).
Fixing to the ISOFIX vehicle anchorage points
Referring to Fig. 10, press the Iso x extension buttons (1) on both sides
of the child seat to extract the Iso x connectors (2).
Make sure that the signal close to the button is red, to indicate that each
connector is ready to be hooked.
NOTE: In some cars it can be difficult to insert the connectors in its pro-
per anchor point; this child seat comes with two Iso x plastic guides
(Part.Q of Fig. 3) that can be xed in advance on the Iso x anchoring po-
ints in order to semplify the insertion of Iso x connectors.
IMPORTANT: When the Iso x connectors are properly hooked to the an-
chor points, the red signals become green, and you hear two distinct
'clicks' to con rm the correct fastening of both of the connectors.
Push strongly the child car seat against the vehicle seat backrest (Fig.13)
until they are in close contact.
Use of the Top Tether strap
Open the Top Tether storage lid (Part W of Fig.3) and extract the Top Te-
ther strap.
Press the adjuster (Part.V of Fig. 3) to lengthen the strap by pulling the
Top Tether by the snap hook (Fig.14).
Hook the snap hook (Part. U of Fig. 3) into the Top Tether anchoring po-
int recommended in your vehicle owner's guide (Fig. 15).
To Tension the Top Tether, remove the slack by pulling the free end of
the strap from its adjuster (Fig. 15a) .
T he Top Tether is correctly tensioned when the green tension indicator
is fully visible through the adjuster window.
WARNING :
Always check that the Top Tether has no slack and it's not twisted.
Use of the 5- point Harness:
Press down the red button (Fig.16) to open the harness buckle.
Loosen the harness straps as much as possible by pressing the harness
release button (Part. L of Fig.2 ), located in the front middle of the child
8
seat, and pulling frontward the shoulders' straps, seizing them from be-
low the chest protection pads (Fig. 17).
NOTE: These pads, as well as the crotch strap, have a xed length that
cannot be adjusted.
Place the child in its seat and fasten the seat straps, combining the two
tabs (Fig.19), and inserting them into the buckle until you hear a 'click' ,
con rming it's fastened.
With refence to Figure 20, place the harness straps on the shoulders, and
the crotch strap and the buckle between the child's legs.
Pulling the front adjustment strap (2), tension the straps so that they are
adhering to the child's body (1). Finally, pull down the chest pads.
NOTE: Too much tension can be disruptive for children, with the conse-
quent risk that they try to get rid of it. For this reason, the straps adjust-
ment is meant to just eliminate any excess.
Using the adjusting lever ( Part M of Fig.2 ) you can change the inclina-
tion angle of the seat (Fig.7 ).
To remove the child seat
To remove the child seat from the car seat, push the release buttons on
both of the Iso x connectors to release them from their anchoring po-
ints ( Fig.21 ).
Unhook the Top Tether and store it in it's proper place in the back of the
backrest.
Installation method for children from 15 to 36 kg (Group 2,3)
This is a SEMI-UNIVERSAL Child Restraint System , approved to European
Standard ECE R 44 04, for general use in vehicles, and it may be installed
on most, but not all, vehicles (see Vehicle Application List).
If in doubt, please contact your retailer or, directly, the manufacturer.
In this weight group, the child is restrained directly by the car safety belt,
so you don't need to use the child seat ve-point harness, while the child
car seat is xed to the vehicle seat by the Iso x connectors.
To set the seat to this condition, proceed as follows (Fig.22):
Lift completely the headrest (Part I of g.2).
·
Release both straps from the crotch buckle (Part J of g.2).
